A non surgical eyebrow brow lift utilising a wrinkle relaxer (or anti wrinkle injections) may improve your eyebrow position if they’ve lowered over time or not sitting as high as you’d like.

With ageing, the muscle that holds the eyelids and eyebrows up in their proper position becomes strained or overworked. This allows the brow and eyelids to begin to slide down.

Loss of facial volume and textural changes of the skin are also contributing factors. Loss of fat pads above the eyebrow (temple) and beneath the eyebrow can further contribute to drooping of the eyebrows and eyelids.

what to expect after eyebrow lift treatment

Following anti-wrinkle injections (wrinkle relaxers)  there may be mild swelling and redness at the injection points and occasionally bruising.

Normal activities can be resumed and you can definitely return to work.

There are some general precautions that should be taken to reduce the risks of side effects and to obtain the best results. Angela will provide you with your aftercare instructions.

You will be requested to return to the Perth clinic 2 weeks following your eyebrow lift treatment to assess your results.

are there any risks for eyebrow lifts?

Wrinkle relaxers are one of the most researched medications in the world and have an excellent safety profile.

However, anti wrinkle injections (wrinkle relaxers) are a medical procedure and therefore some risk is involved.

Injection related after effects can include slight redness, bruising, mild pain and headaches.

Actual side effects of eyebrow lifts as listed below are rare and if experienced, temporary;

• Drooping of the eyelids. This occurs in less than 1% of patients (applicable to frown and forehead).

• Flattening of the eyebrows or a heavy forehead (applicable to frown and forehead).

• Asymmetry of the eyebrows.

Your safety is paramount.  I have extensive experience and all measures will be taken with technique to minimise complications.

Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an underlying neurological condition such as Myasthena Gravis cannot be treated with anti wrinkle injections (wrinkle relaxers).

how long do results last?

Eyebrow lift results are not instant following anti wrinkle injections, they will evolve within 14 days.

For most people, the effect will last 3-4 months in commonly treated areas, however this will vary according to the dose that you have received and the area that was treated.

Longevity of wrinkle relaxer results will be discussed at your consultation.
