Dermal fillers are a medical procedure and therefore carry some risk.

Injection risks include slight redness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, skin discolouration, pain and tenderness.

Dermal filler related risks include;

• Allergic reactions.

• Persistent pain.

• Oedema (swelling).

• Filler forming into lumps.

• Granuloma.

• Infection.

• Vascular side effects.

• Permanent blindness due to central retinal artery occlusion (very rare).

Reactions may be immediate or delayed in onset.

how long do results last?

Approximately 12 - 24 months.

But the answer is more complicated than most patients think. It can depend on;

• Which dermal filler is used, it’s consistency and the volume injected.

what to expect after a non surgical facelift treatment

Expect to look refreshed and naturally rejuvenated. However, it can take 2 to 3 weeks to see the full results as it takes time for the dermal filler to settle and integrate with your skin.

You may have some swelling, bruising, and redness. These effects usually improve after 48 to 72 hours.

Being a minimally invasive treatment downtime is minimal however do consider that bruising can persist for 7-10 days and pre plan treatment prior to any important social events.

You’ll be given verbal and written aftercare instructions.
